Relief (noun) a feeling of reassurance and relaxation following release from anxiety or distress.
Relief by Design aspires to create a gender-inclusive future where transgender and non-binary people are no longer subjected to harassment and violence in public restrooms. We will achieve this by promoting signage changes in existing restrooms and designing the inclusive restroom of the future, with the ultimate goal of eradicating gendered restrooms.
Card Drop Campaign
All across the country, there are establishments that have gendered restrooms when they do not need to (i.e., single stalls). In phase one, cards will be designed and distributed to participants who will drop them off at businesses they engage with and that have the opportunity to change the way their restroom is set up.
